RESUME Engineering & Software Design, IT Support,
Documentation & Technical Writing PROFILE My career began in 1985. For the first five
years, I held drafting and design positions working in the areas of
miscellaneous metal fabrication, pneumatic conveying systems and HVAC
design. I had the opportunity to work on many projects in the Twin
Cities, including Galtier Plaza, Minnesota World Trade Center (Wells Fargo),
Riverplace, Abbott’s Heart Building and Carlson Towers. For the next
ten years, my focus shifted to material handling design, manufacturing and
project management for companies including Northrup King Co. (now Syngenta),
Malt-O-Meal and many others. During the past eleven years, I have been
involved more in document management and database customization / integration
with CAD applications, IT support and technical writing, simultaneous to
production solid modeling. I am a self-starting and diversified
individual who likes to be challenged and who has a strong desire for
continued career growth. DESIGN

EXPERIENCE Extensive
experience integrating CAD and Database customization into companies in a way
that is clear to users, assisting them in eliminating non-repetitive
tasks. These were accomplished simultaneous to production work,
ensuring proper design, function and increased productivity, using the
following software tools: · SolidWorks

Inventor 2010 · Pro
Engineer Wildfire (Admin) · AutoCAD

ERP Systems Integration and Customization ACHIEVEMENTS: Contributions
to companies are as a designer (software and engineering) and administrator
who can perform the necessary workload for active projects, as well as create
and implement streamlined processes for engineering, IT and other
departments. I thrive on being able to perform the necessary tasks as
well as come up with solutions for higher productivity and greater
accuracy. Some of my capabilities are outlined below: · Product Configuration at the ERP Level using Avante (Epicor
Software). · Setup and
administered PDM Workgroup for use internally and externally (by outside
groups and suppliers). · Defined
and organized release documentation standards. This included setting up
systems to track part releases, ECO’s and plot drawings. Additionally,
I helped develop a system to automatically requisition purchased items.
This accomplishment resulted in the reduction of my own daily workload by
60%, substantial time savings in the engineering departments preparing and
releasing parts and the reduction of 100 hours in accounting clerical work
per week. · Setup
custom database application integrating Vantage (ERP software) with Autodesk
Inventor using Visual Studio .NET. · Managed
projects for processing equipment from concept sales phase through
manufacturing, including design and sizing of drives, bearings, etc., as well
as QA prior to shipment. · Managed
and defined process to document over 50 company facilities for the purpose of
obtaining Civil drawings, Process Flow Schematics and Plant Layout
information. Worked with plant managers during site visits to discuss
future plans and obtain field information. · Organized
standards for production of operation and maintenance manuals for medical
packaging equipment, while simultaneously creating several project manuals
including CE risk assessment / technical construction files. · Created
custom database applications to assist sales, IT and manufacturing
departments with organizational enhancements to track various issues within
their departments. · Created
project management system to assign and keep track of projects, drawings
within projects, estimated completion dates and actual hours worked.
The program served as an excellent tool to document all the activity in a
small engineering department, and significantly improved access to files and
information for users. · Customized
an application taking 100 hours manually into an 11-hour routine that could
be run overnight. The application automatically generated scaled
drawings, bill of materials and CNC code for computerized fabrication.
This was exceptional progress back in 1989. · Created
hundreds of small applications and organized symbol libraries that paid for
themselves quickly to automate or enhance standard AutoCAD commands for
company specific applications, as well as produce uniform documents. · Documented
IT installation, software standards and other processes for non-technical
users to understand and apply. · Supported
100+ IT users at two locations including hardware and software installations,
troubleshooting and custom PC builds as necessary. COMPANY
